Club of a Seed Merchant
After the rise in crop production worldwide, everyone had seem to have forgotten one tiny thing: seeds.
This is a strategy farming game where you are growing crops to establish your seed enterprise.

Project background
Before pursuing a career in the gaming industry I had intended of becoming an ethnobotanist (a scientist that studies the use and impact of plants in cultures). Inspired from this, I began to experiment by creating a crop growing game with a twist. Crops would have more than one harvest stage and there being seed scarcity within the game. After all, runner beans were first valued and brought to the UK not for their pods but its flowers.
Club of a Seed Merchant creates an extra strategy challenge of the lack of seeds. Also it focuses on the need to have a sustainable supply while growing your enterprise.
I hope to develop this into a larger project and include unlockable crops, and world events.

Key learnings from this project

Planning decisions ahead of time rather than within the moment would help a lot in avoiding problems and providing a direction of when the project was finished. This became more important after the initial goal outcomes were met.
